It would have been slow, fucking boring but he would have won a game in the fifties.
 
Coach Odom looks like Adolph Rupp compared to what you have now. Odom wasn't a bad coach either. As a matter of fact, he brought wake forest out of shitstorm much like what you are in now.
 
Odom has won 5 posteason tournaments.
Bz has won 4 postseason games.

Odom must be better than John Wooden and Red Auerbach.
 
Because even they couldn't win with this bunch. Or so i have heard it preached. . .

Odom had Scooter, Chill and Tim and couldn't make the Final Four. He had teh best amateur basketball on the planet for three years and always had excuses why he coluldn't win with him.

In eight years or so without Tim Duncan, GDO won ONE (or was it two?) ACCT game.

In his last eleven years of coaching he made The Dance twice (losing in the first tround each time).

Yes, he is better than [Redacted], but he ain't close to being a god.

GDO put us back on track, but perspective is needed.

Wrong as wrong can get. When it comes to Wake Forest basketball, GDO is the god of ACC titles as he has 2 of the 4 we have ever gotten. He recruited Duncan, Chill, Scooter, Rodney, etc. He made Timmy D into the all-American that he became . TD did not come in here with any basketball skills to speak of, just great footwork. GDO and his staff [ plus Duncan's work ethic & listening skills ] made him into an NBA HOFer.

There are extenuationg circumstances for not getting to the Final four [ Chill having the flu the week of the NCAA's and not having the energy....Tony Rutland blowing out his knee the next year as we were rolling to the 2nd title against GT ]


RJ is just a bitter old man who doesn't want to give credit where credit is due.

It is quite literally impossible to take a guy with no basketball skills and turn him into one of the greatest basketball players ever. That's just absurd.

Fuck you Reff! you're the biggest joke on the board when it comes to basketball. After over two DECADES of reffing, you still can't get above calling JV HS GIRLS games.

Your attitude and ignorance did the impossible. You made Skip Prosser not like or respect someone. that someone was YOU!!!

Many thought Skip was incapable of not liking a person, but you proved that multitude wrong,.

As to your insights. how's that Skip's deal with Cinci being signed,selaed and delivered going for you?

As to GDO, the game clearly passed him by. It is indisputable that over his last eleven years he made two NCCA tournies.

It's hardly "bitter" to effectively show how GDO's career ended.
 
Odom did a great job at SC. The place is a revolving door of coaches. There is a reason they haven't won an NCAA tournament game since 1971.

He won 2 NIT titles there and was within an eyelash of an SEC tourney title.
 
NIT is for teasms of frosh, losers and mid-majors. We're #67 Yippee!!!

Making return visits to the NIT shows you have not led your team to improve.

Seeing Dave Odom's record without TD, I am even more confused with Dino's reputation among board members. Dino isn't near the coach that Odom was, but Dino made the tournament 2 of his three years here, and probably would have had more 20+ win, tournament seasons had he stayed. With Wake's uneven history of tournament success, why was Dino's record worthy of such derision?

Yet, you have rambled on about Bzzz leading the AF to their greatest 2 year run ever, which was an NCAA bid followed by an NIT final four.

You will take virtually identical fact patterns and talk out of both sides of your mouth to support your predisposed position. One of the reasons that nobody takes you seriously around here.
