On our schedules for this year or will the ACC have to wait until they run the length of their Big East contract before we pull them in?

The Big 12 had their schedules with WVa & TCU ready to go just in case it happened. Do we or will we have the normal ones ready to go soon?

Last year's football schedule was released on February 14th so a very appropriate question.

We'll wait. Neither team, nor the ACC want to pay 20 million each for them to break the contract early.

not this year but both the big east and the departing teams have shown willingness to talk about splitting a year early (13-14 instead of 14-15)

This means we get a 18 game conference schedule next season with the current 12 teams. 7 opponents home & home with only 4 that we'll play once.

Under the 16 game schedule, we would have had home and homes with NCSU, GT, Miami, Virginia, and Carolina. The following year we would have had home and homes with NCSU, GT, VT, FSU, and Maryland.

The most sensible thing is that, for our home-homes, we would play NCSU, GT, Miami, Virginia, Carolina, and two out of VT, FSU, and Maryland next year.

Now that WVU had settled with the Big East, and all the others have indicated they will be joining (Memphis, Boise, SD State, etc.), look for Pitt and Syracuse to be full members of the ACC by summer of 2013 -- thus both football and basketball schedules in 13-14 will include Pitt and Cuse.
