Give Jeff credit. Their team has battled all year long and unfortunately for them, they've had some stretches in games where they just couldn't buy a basket. They have played much better in this league than their record indicates - there's no question about that. He's doing a great job in terms of building this thing back up the right way, with the right guys.

Georgia Tech Head Coach Brian Gregory

I know zilch about this guy but do know he didn't have to say this after the game....obvious he gets the deal.

Meh. That's what you say when your shit team gets beat by another shit team. In such cases going for the "classy" play is your best bet.

He just lost to us. Of course he's going to say we're better than our record indicates even though, if anything, we're worse than our record indicates (quantity of blowout losses).

Classy, although inaccurate. Constant double digit losses doesn't indicate that we're playing better than our record indicates. If anything, we should probably have lost more games.

Can't expect anything different from the losing coach though.

a lot of the bolowout losses aren't that way with some depth.

Yea. Scoring margin by team, including last night's games (ACC play only):

1. North Carolina +9.3
2. Florida State +7.5
3. Duke +7.5
4. NC State +5.4
5. Clemson +4.1
6. Virginia +3.7
7. Miami +2.5
8. Maryland -4.0
9. Virginia Tech -5.3
10. Boston College -8.5
11. Georgia Tech -8.7
12. Wake Forest -11.4

You can't win or keep games close if your talent is deficient. You can dream about it, but it isn't reality.

While depth is a problem, we still have a much larger program in that our coach is awful at his job.

Nevermind that most of our games get blown out right after half time.

Even last night we went something like 6 minutes with scoring a field goal.

Of course Gregory is going to say good things. He wants Bz to stick around, much like we wanted Doherty and Lowe to stick around.

even though Lowe owned [Redacted]

sounds like he really wants Jeff to be around the next few years...

Agreed. UVA was up 40-19 at halftime and started the second half on a 10-2 run to push it to 50-21. I have no clue what to call that, but it's not purely a depth issue.

Gregory's expressions of revulsion at some of the things his team was during during the game mimic ours at some of the things our team was doing. It was actually quite a comedy of poor basketball, at least we came out on top.

RJ -

The head of the nail has been hit.

And if I may add....no depth at all.

Reality is in short supply here....as I suspect it is at GT and BC these days.
