Retired US Soccer / World Cup Thread (RIP)

He was offside. But Spain's goal was a handball. All evened out, I suppose.

Although there is no chance that England deserved a point from that match. They got worked. Spain switched off with like 10 to go tho and let England start creating...well, creating in the England sense not the Spanish sense.

this headline makes me lol, because the handball still isn't clear, and the offside was

European Under-21 Championships: Spain scored via a handball but Danny Welbeck equalised late on

Yesterday is the perfect example of why we don't need to be playing the best possible team every single friendly. Every now and then we need to play random Central American team X, decent Asian team, or tier 3 Euro. Almost every single one of our games that actually matters is against a team that will pack it in against us, and our offense isn't so great that they couldn't do with some experience unlocking that together. Shouldn't have to be that way, but it is. Too bad we're busy chasing the $$$ with each friendly instead.

The rest of it pretty much sucked. Not much more to be said.

Kyle Walker is going to be such a stud. And frankly, Danny Rose looked really good at LB at the end of last season. Combine those 2 with Steven Caulker (only missing this tournament due to injury) and Spurs have a lot of young talent along the back.

4-0 Mexicans

Get the fuck out of here Bob. We're going in the exact opposite direction from them

Guardado is as good as Donovan. At least. Landycakes go to Europe and stop being a pussy

Costa Rica's advancement in jeopardy if they concede one more goal. They had a +10 advantage over El Salvador entering the day, now it's down to 1. Gotta love the Gold Cup
