Did Romney adopt a KKK slogan?

Now we are really getting into some meat and potato issues here! To hell with discussions on our nation going bankrupt and the shrinking middle class....Let's get to the bottom of this Mormon Klansman!

As the author points out, we hear every day about Obama being a socialist. Why isn't this fair game?

And I thought Democrats were supposed to be the whiny ones? You don't see Obama freaking out and demanding an apology every time Fox News calls him a socialist or un-American.

I heard Romney's going to call his economic plan "The Final Solution." :p

I don't like it because "Keep xyx xyzian" is pretty much the slogan of every ultra-nationalist, xenophobic group worldwide. While I don't think Romney is any of those things, I'd like to see us keep the political discourse away from that particular area as much as possible.

Even if he dropped the "n" so that he was one letter off from a KKK slogan instead of using exactly the KKK slogan, it's still an awful thing to say. It's the exact same rhetoric (and same wording) that is used to justify xenophobia, racism, and hatred of other cultures.

It is consistent with the line of thinking that Republican politicians gear their message to low-effort thinkers http://psp.sagepub.com/content/early/2012/03/16/0146167212439213.abstract?rss=1.

Ultra-nationalism and xenophobia is the epitome of a message that appeals to lazy thinkers. Thus it is not surprising that Republican politicians and groups like the Klan would come up with similar slogans.

The evolution of this country to one that is modeled more to the European style is what that is all about, and not keeping America from being overrun by an influx of darker skinned people. Of course I wouldn't expect the dingbats over on MSNBC to understand that, since they love to tow the Dem party line and accuse the GOP of racism at every opportunity.

But the reason you haven't seen this pressed by the mainstream media is the same reason you haven't seen Obama's "Forward" slogan pressed by the mainstream media. Because the line of thought that makes one think about the KKK or Marxist slogans assumes a larger-than-usual bias in order to make that conclusion.
