Never change, NBC News. Never change.

I'd damned near vote for George W Bush over Mitt Romney. At least Bush has some personality and seems like he would be a nice enough guy if you were around him. Romney is a total phoney snob with no personality or moral compass whatsoever. At Bain he would walk over peoples' lives to make another dollar, and in this election he has shown that he will say anything to try to get elected. The man has no core values at all.

[BRACE FOR IMPACT]

Yea this response is just a joke, especially if the GOP and the media machine think these are anywhere near as bad as the Romney comments. Not to mention that again context is lost among republicans as BO appears to be talking about more efficient allocation of government resources, not straight up redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor. This just looks desperate to me.

Why do people pull marginal, deep-background pieces regarding incumbent presidents? They never serve much purpose or have a large influence, since voters already know how a president running for reelection will act in office. Background pieces only have predictive value on new candidates running for a first term. Incumbents always run on personal appeal and their record.

I get why Romney's camp is doing this -- as stated above, they're trying to equate the clips and make them cancel each other out. But it's not going to work, and it's pretty poor strategy to begin with. They've taken three different tacks already, and two of the three contradicted each other. Very poor messaging. Can you believe we're saying that about a GOP candidate for president, two elections running?

Lowest tax rates since the 50's
95% of working American families have seen a tax cut
Obama has not taken your guns.
More private sector jobs have been created in the past 27 months than Bush had in his 8 years(4,267,000 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics)
What a Socialist!!!!!! Give it up GOP your song and dance is old!!!

Redistributing wealth? That's what government does for a living. Ding-dong, anybody home? If government does not redistribute wealth, then what exactly does it do?

Talk about "pervasive civic ignorance!" And unfortunately that apparently includes Andrea Mitchell as well. Or let me put it another way: if I can help my guy, then I'll play along with the prevalent civic ignorance, instead of informing the public.

Anyone who doesn't understand that the Bush tax cuts were passed to redistribute wealth is blind. The difference is that this distribution was from the bottom up, rather than from the top down.

Wel,, actually they lessen the redistribution from the top down.

yeah, that bullshit mountain clip was pretty good. the one directly after the 47% comment was pretty meh imo (channeling my inner ELC).
