Pew has Romney up by 4!

Hahaha. He was well rehearsed and extremely malleable. He was unfiltered with at the fundraiser in Boca Raton.

He came off much better than my expectations coming in, and I hadn't really listened to him. LK is spot on here, and Obama looked beaten down by the job. For the casual "what the fuck does my vote matter" observer like myself, I came in voting for Obama and ended voting for Romney. That wasn't the same Obama I saw four years ago.

Agreed. I think its important to remember this is probably the first time since 08 we have heard the President speak without fully prepared remarks and the result (for such a good speech giver) was very underwhelming.

Oh brother. You need to get out more.

A) It baffles my mind that someone would change their decision based on soundbites in a debate, rather than doing research on a candidate's actual policies and proposals.

B) Nate Silver has moved Obama all the way down to... 70% likely to win, or where he was before the conventions. Gonna be interesting to see what happens after the second and third debates for sure.

I'd still have Obama in the mid 60s, I think Silver has about a 4% bias towards the POTUS. No big deal

Intrade has Obama shares at $6.14 now. He was up close to $8.00 a share a few weeks back. MASSIVE drop in value.

This simply does not compute -- I do not understand how you can be this person. I guess if you're voting solely from the "how will this change my life" perspective, and the answer is that neither candidate's election will really change your life at all, I can kind of understand it (and if that was my perspective, that would be my answer), but it's really strange that your mind could be changed by one debate between two extremely different candidates.

You do realize Intrade is about individuals rather than the company setting the prices, don't you?

This is not like a sportsbook.

They aren't all that different. Both of them are full of shit and neither of them have any ideas that most of us think will actually work.
