Toast for brunch (it gets crowded SUN)Charleston was too expensive this weekend so I snagged a priceline deal at the Omni.
We haven't spent any time beyond football games in Charlotte, no idea what to do besides hit up NoDa. Looking for dinner and brunch recs preferably within walking or short cab distance. We are young and pretty poor, would prefer fun over fine.
Mac's, Price's Chicken Coop, VBGB are fun reasonably priced places with good food.
Gonna bump this
Is there anyplace to get decent Chinese food in Charlotte?
I posted this in the Triad thread
Zanzibar (African) Cafe in NoDa is delicious. It's a little hole in the wall place with 3 tables. I got the Liberian style Jollof rice with chicken, beef, and turkey, and it's amazing. Bonus, their restaurant hot sauce will light your ass up. My wife got the rotisserie curry chicken and black beans, and it looked great.
Cava is my new go to lunch joint. Thank me later
