With term limits the only experienced people in DC would be lobbists. Great idea.

And we already have term limits. Two years in the house, 6 in the Senate.
 
Professional politician was never meant to be a career. Being a representative was a huge hardship having to leave your family and your business behind. Something needs to be done to address that.

Also, while the founders may not have intended to have career politicians. Many (maybe most) of them were career politicians. How many years between 1775 and 1809 did TJ go without holding some office?
 
What is the deal with all the Right harping on Obama playing golf lately. I must have heard that 10 times today either in conversation or on facebook feeds. Is that the new buzz word? I could care less if Obama plays golf. I love golf, and so does he. His life pretty much sucks right now, let the man relax for 4 hours on a golf course once a week.

35 TIMES~!!!!!! Oh may gosh!!! I can't believe it! A man who has unlimited resources, power, and the worst schedule known to man might like to discuss some business while playing golf.

Sorry - rant over. I am all about ranting about legitimate stuff, but this golf stuff is just stupid. Especially when nearly everyone I have listened to rant about it tries to take off work and play golf whenever they can.

Being president is awesome and terrible at the same time. I will never give a president crap for taking a small break to refresh. It isn't like they are ever off the clock.

I've seen 3 people post this on Facebook today, and got an e-mail about it from a handful of others. A guy went onto Healthcare.gov's Facebook page and wrote a message, and it's being copy and pasted everywhere.

“I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance.

I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is “Free” or even “Affordable.”
