Facebook Gold from Crazies

ok then bye bye dickheads, see you in hell

Wouldn't it suck if after a lifetime and drinking and smoking and living how you want to live, you get to hell and the same evangelical hypocrites who gave you shit about it are down there with you too?

Odds Franklin Graham actually said this ? < 5% ?

Yeah, I'm skeptical of anything like this without a decent source being provided. Having said that, even if Graham didn't say it in public, I have little doubt - based on things he definitely has said or implied in public - that he does believe all of that in private. And so does Jerry Falwell, Jr., and so do a good many other Religious Right televangelists.

Real people. Real republicans.

On a serious note, the internet deletes a ton of child porn. That’s why it doesn’t just show up on your Facebook feed like shitty white supremacist takes.

The second one is a threat.

I also laughed at the notion of "well if criminals aren't going to prove to you that you need guns, then we'll do it!" It's the type of circular logic that has become common place in the platform.

It doesn't even hold up because its the state of Georgia, you can do anything you fucking want in Georgia, its July 2019 here not 2020.

Matt Walsh's whole career is a) I'm this cool religious guy who drinks whiskey bet you didn't see that coming and b) hot taking the opposite of any good thing. He's basically the male Tomi Lahren.

I saw that same idea expressed a few times yesterday. Hope those people kept that same energy even they saw pictures from crowded bars and beaches or when Trump tried to cram a ton of people into a small space to feed his ego.

Been a hot week for crazies, except this is an elected republican crazy.

I mean, I loved both my grandmothers, but I think it’s fair to say that their lives weren’t as important as John Lewis’s.

Do you want to run that ad? Just let this one go, even if it is a low blow.

Are people really not having funerals for their grandmothers? Fewer people are going to funerals. People are wearing masks at funerals. But no funerals? Is that true?

Yes. Funerals are being delayed for months. My aunt died last month, the earliest funeral in late October. A friend had her grandfather pass and they can't have his funeral until November at Arlington. That doesn't even deal with the quarantine for travelers or the age issues of fellow mourners.

Didn't you need to wait months for an Arlington funeral before the pandemic?

No. This is all because the democRATS hate the military.

Wait times were long prior to the Covid. Here is the Arlington Cemetery Fact sheet on wait times from September 2019.

The only burials which did not and do not require long wait times are those for active duty military who die of wounds received in combat.

Arlington Wait Times

The relevant information:

"...[Arlington National Cemetery] ANC schedulescasketed burials within three weeks of receiving the request for burial. The service takes place when themilitary funeral honors for which the veteran is eligible are available.

For cremated remains, wait times are as long as nine to eleven months for a service requiring militaryfuneral honors with funeral escort, and up to seven to eight months for a military funeral honors servicewithout funeral escort, or for a dependent honors service..."

To interpret the first quoted sentence for those not familiar with "militarese," it means that it takes up to three weeks after you request a burial to just put the burial on the schedule. The date for the funeral will be at some time well into the future when the resources to provide the military honors due the deceased are available.

In 2015 it was over two months between death and burial for a friend of mine. And that was only because another funeral cancelled/postponed and his was done on very short notice. Otherwise it would have been five months wait. My friend died in May. The original schedule for his burial at Arlington was October. He was buried July 2, 2015 because another family postponed their burial ceremony away from the July 4 holiday.

Yeah I wanna say we waited nearly a year back in 2012 for my grandfather’s funeral there
