I know a sociologist who says FB is only bad if you have bad friends and family, otherwise it's a utopia of fun and warmth for people to enjoy.
 
Again, not taking time to clip it, but today I saw someone post an image of the Biden/Harris campaign logo and she (my fb "friend" from high school) said "Google 3 red banners".

Yes, FB is a cesspool but I personally find it helpful to put a name and face to the bat-shittery. I had thought the fringe (a 40% fringe, turns out) consisted of preppers in Montana and basement dwelling incels but turns out no, it's that girl from high school that was kinda hot (for your high school) and went on to become a nurse.

Meanwhile, in the real world, it turns out that Trump paid China some $200,000 in taxes while he paid our government virtually zilch for years. But in Bizarro TrumpWorld Biden is the one who is subservient to China.

I've come to see this over the years as a kind of rationalization process Republicans go through to justify voting for worse and worse people for public office, and less and less qualified candidates. They'll bosides everything and convince themselves that Democrats are no better in any way than Republicans, and since that's the case, they'll start listing all the stuff they don't like about whatever Democratic candidate is running that year (doesn't really matter who), with most of what they're saying being Fox News/Business talking points, and finally they'll start posting on social media or telling everyone that they're "reluctantly" going to have to vote Republican for the umpteenth time. And strangely enough, this pattern remains the same every two to four years. I'm seeing lots of it this year - mournful complaints about what horrible choices we have for POTUS and everything else, and does it really matter who wins since they're all so bad, followed by the inevitable discovery that they're voting for Trump and pretty much the entire GOP ticket. Never fails.
 
Yep. Republicans have gotten most of us to buy into a few big lies about the way the economy and society and politics work. Many of us are questioning those lies and making realizations about the evils of capitalism, structural racism, and the false equivalence between the parties. But plenty of people need to accept more lies in order to justify holding on to those big lies.
 
Support for Trump is now the reason all things happen to someone in my neighborhood so if you put up a Trump sign and something occurs its because of that sign. Dog dug in flower bed, Trump sign. Package missing, Trump sign. The latest, someone littered by throwing a cup out of their car, Trump sign. Always the victims.

In the Middle East, he explained to nations that it is better to be “working friends” with Israel as opposed to fighting them. For the first time in a quarter-century, peace is beginning to bloom there, and he has kept Iran back on its heels.
Following his win, the stock market began to grow and it has yet to slow down. Businesses prefer Trump, and he drove unemployment numbers to record lows in all categories.
The wall on our southern border with Mexico continues to be built, and illegal immigration is down.
The COVID-19 virus severely hampered the economy. However, a recent Gallup poll revealed that 56% of Americans still feel better off than four years ago.
Trump’s accomplishments came about while battling an extremely biased press, the higher-ups in the Justice Department, the White House under President Barack Obama and Vice President Biden, and a House of Representatives that was obsessed with his impeachment. Recently released, formerly classified information is verifying that the people “in the know” regarding the impeachment were lying.
All should be extremely concerned with how close America came to the unseating of a duly elected president. It’s referred to as a bloodless coup. If it ever happens, it will happen again. Does the term “Third World nation” ring a bell? Biden, et al., if elected, will shake America to its foundation.
The Constitution has been the glue holding America together for 244 years. America has had problems, but unlike many other countries, America has corrected many of those errors. Yes, more needs to be done. However, dismantling the country is not the answer.
Democrats and their radical-left enforcers feel the Constitution is a “living document,” and that it should change as times change. This is not how the Founding Fathers viewed the government. They had seen what a powerful central government can do, and they wanted no part of it.
Our government is an “eating machine.” It continues to grow and has no intention of slowing down. Trump has tried to put the brakes on, cutting regulations and taxes, and the economy responded.
If Biden is elected, expect higher taxes, a return to massive regulation growth, an environmental program that will crush the economy, a reduction in police protection and more than likely the loss of the Second Amendment. Currently, the First Amendment is under attack with restrictions on religious grounds and of free speech. Who saw that coming?
Speaking of the Constitution, Democrats need a refresher course in civics. Filling a Supreme Court vacancy is not “packing” the court, and the court is not a guilty-vs.-not-guilty type. The justices’ job is to hear the arguments and decide based on the guidelines of the Constitution.
The Founding Fathers never intended to have justices legislate from the bench — the country has a legislative branch for making laws. Personal opinions should never be involved. It is simply a question of being constitutional or not. Trump has worked hard to put constitutional originalists on the court, not those wanting to make laws.
Do yourself a favor and read up on Marxism, antifa and the radical side of Black Lives Matter. Socialism has never worked, and there’s no reason to believe it will in America. The demands being made on Biden by his radical followers, U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris being one, will guarantee America’s speedy downward spiral as it runs further to the left. Look no further than Venezuela, which went from being one of the wealthiest countries in South America to one that is broke. Venezuela’s downfall took a handful of years. Can you not see the similarities?
Do you want an America with a leader whose style you don’t like, or a political party whose demands will guarantee an unrecoverable downward spiral? The Left’s massive changes might not affect the lives of older readers, but to their children and grandchildren — good luck.
Want to make your decision as simple as possible? Read George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.” America is the farm, the Constitution is the farmer and the radical Left are the animals. The animals revolt and kill the farmer.
They create a new life, and all seems good. But in a short time, life changes for the worst. The pigs take control and move into the farmer’s house, justifying it by stating that to “govern” they need the comforts of that home, and the other animals don’t qualify for those comforts.
The farm’s “community rules” to live by are posted on a barn wall for all to see. In the end the pigs, who are now in total control, add one last rule: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
If the radical Left should take control of the government, expect to see their written rules on the “wall” soon, and be assured the last rule will be: Some are more equal than others
