that is the most asinine thing I have ever heard of. "Hey as soon as you become a nonproductive member of society sucking up huge amounts of public spending, we'll exempt you from taxes!"

Some generations recede into history with dignity and a fond farewell, like the GI generation. Others just leave in bitterness and anger that they're not young anymore and still try to hoard everything, including the nation's wealth and political power, for themselves, even into senility. Meet the Boomers.
