Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

Oh man, this girl's dad wants teachers/administrators to carry firearms. Come on, dude.
 
You have to have a seriously backwards way of thinking to imagine more fire arms on school campus being the solution. You're literally walking the problem through the front door. If someone told you that every custodian in your office, nay, the white house, should have guns, you'd think it was insane. Because it is.

That entire stance seriously seems like it was devised by a Russian bot.

Trump's moronic concept of of concealed carry or dozens of armed guards won't stop crazy people from going out in a blaze of "glory". However, having kids growing up in armed camps will have lasting impact. Add to this, schools make teachers buy supplies for students, because there isn't enough money in the budget for those supplies. How in the hell and where in the hell will districts come up with all those millions to hire the guards?
 
Sandy Hook father and husband of a teacher makes the argument that we shouldn't task our teachers with taking someone's life.

The only talk of gun control was from a Parkland survivor.
 
Has anyone mentioned in this town hall that mass shootings don't just happen at schools?

Or by an organization that sees selling more guns as in its best interests
 
The teachers don't want to carry guns, they arent qualified, and its stupid. I appreciate the man with the three sons' grief, but that is a horrible idea that no one at the school wants.
