Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

#thisismylane on twitter, a hashtag for doctors and victims to share photos of the aftermath of gun violence, is not for the faint of heart.

I don't follow this thread regularly enough to know if this is a repost, but This American Life did some excellent reporting on mass shootings about a month ago: link here.

Synopsis: There’s no rulebook on how to handle a school shooting. And no real way to prepare for one. This week, people take what they’ve learned from these tragedies and try to use that knowledge to save others.

As you could guess, it's not for the faint of heart. It's incredibly sad and frustrating.

I choked up once or twice while listening; that was a really good episode.

More fucking mass shootings. Tonight it’s a hospital.

I hope this isn't an extreme case of the Ann Coulter inspired "stay in your lane" movement.

No. Different shitty guy. This was a jilted ex-fiance. I guess for some people if a doctor breaks up with you, the reasonable thing to do is take you legal weapon that you can legally conceal carry, go to the hospital, and kill her.

I'm tired of these pathetic losers with guns making everybody's lives miserable.

Responsible Americans take guns as they are going in for surgery. Same goes if they are performing surgery.

The Missouri one was a MAGA twitter dude who was real riled about about the kavanaugh sexual assault allegations, then basically held 3 girls at gunpoint, forced em to give him head, and when one refused he killed her. Used to be a pastor. With $45k in credit card debt.

If he hadn’t killed the one who refused, he probably would have gotten away with it.
