Yep. I’d say the same about my friends at UNCC who have to post on social media that they’re safe.

It hit close to me when coworkers posted safe after the Pulse night club.
 
Not that anybody is surprised but the shooter is a 22 year old white guy who dropped out of UNCC with no criminal record. He was escorted away by the cops.

A guy I went to high school with was in a night class pretty close to the shooting. It was chilling to see him post on Facebook asking for people to post funny/dumb stuff to try and ease his mind as it was going on.
 
I know a girl that was in her last class next door to the shooting. She said it was the most insane thing she'd ever been around. I felt like an asshole because she wanted to come hang out with me (really my dog) and I couldn't beacuse of an event.
 
New Zealand voted 119 to 1 to outlaw semi-automatic weapons, with an amnesty period and aggressive buy-backs. We'll continue to do nothing, though.
 
So the girl who watches our kids goes to UNC-C and her friend from high school was killed.
