It’s pretty clear by now the people who are praying aren’t righteous because their prayers aren’t effective.

This is the only country where this happens. It’s ridiculous to say nothing can be done. We are led by cowards who value guns over people.

There is a supposed manifesto out there where the shooter rails on immigrants and automation ruining the country, and goes out of his way to say he thought this before Trump was elected.

Why do you think nothing can be done? Are you aware other countries have done things that have helped them on this issue?
 
the incremental stuff has proven to be largely ineffective over the course of the last half century

you can ask for more incremental stuff but there is little reason to think that these would be any more effective than the previous incremental efforts at gun restriction during the past half century

so, if you just argue for more incremental restriction of firearms, you are unwilling to recognize the futility of such efforts in the past and simply trying to signal that your heart is in the right place, namely, that you are virtuous, albeit somewhat ignorant
 
What incremental stuff?!? We haven’t done a goddamned thing about gun violence since the 1990s.
 
Gun laws have become less restrictive over the last half century even while gun technology has created guns with a great capacity for killing.

Your argument doesn’t stand up to history.

Great. So right wing lunatics continue to use the terrorist playbook to make a political statement. Just as bad as Al Qaeda or Isis.
 
The fact he mentioned Trump inherently contradicts his basic premise. Why mention it if it wasn't part of it?
