Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

I got into this with a guy at a bar last year. He said his guns would protect him from the government. He'd be able to keep them from taking him with his guns. When I asked him how his guns would stop a government drone from blowing up his house under control of a kid 1000 miles away, he said they would. When I laughed, he wasn't real happy.

Odessa killer had a criminal record, failed a background check but was still able to buy multiple guns.

If a person like him commits a crime, the person who gave or sold him his weapons should be treated as an accomplice in all the crimes he committed.
 
 
But it is about Republicans and Democrats. Republicans do not care about her and her family. They care about money from the gun lobby. That’s it.

2001 misdemeanor did not prevent him from legally purchasing. He did however circumvent the failed background check.

I can’t (I mean I can) believe how gullible people are. A family friend who is super right wing and posts stuff from the most right wing sites put up a meme this morning that said the midland shooter was a democratic socialist with a Beto sticker on his bumper (lol at those two different ideologies). I googled and found nothing about his political affiliations, then found that some fake twitter account had started that rumor and nut jobs ran with it. This woman who posted it is a horrible person masquerading as a “Christian” should know better. I just don’t get how people like this exist and believe everything they read. They rant about Facebook being biased then spend half an afternoon posting conspiracy theories and outright lies on their Facebook pages. Old people.

It's also about taking the guns. There are way to many guns and they need to be well regulated.
 
Great. Now everyone is just going to go to their local black market arms dealer that every person some how knows to get military grade weaponry. Or at least that's what the right would have you believe.
