Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

In this age of mass shooters and threats against Beto in particular how can anyone justify being able to carry an AR-15 into crowd like that? You’re not allowed to scream fire in a crowded theater. Isn’t the potential exactly the same for the crowd to panic and stampede when they see someone show up with an AR-15 to an event like this?

The picture must not have loaded for you. It’s a white guy with the gun.

that should be considered a red flag and his guns should be taken away. clearly he is not of clear mind thinking bringing that weapon into a huge crowd is a good idea. it doesn't matter what his beliefs, bringing a weapon like that onto a campus for a political rally or any sort should not be condoned.

2 kids die while hanging out at school and we have three comments on the board. It is sad that we have become so desensitized to these shootings or have given up on protecting our kids. Not blaming the boards, but I am just at a loss as to what to do other than vote against every pro-NRA candidate in 2020 and every election that follows.

My mother-in-law was in this Walmart. Moar guns! What could go wrong?

Police are investigating an incident in which a firearm is believed to have been accidentally discharged inside a restroom at the Walmart store at Chattanooga Plaza off Hull Street Road and state Route 288.

No one was shot, and the person who fired the shot has not been located, a spokeswoman for Chesterfield County police said.

A preliminary investigation indicates a firearm was discharged accidentally at about 2:15 p.m. in a restroom, the spokeswoman said.
