Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

I agree. Of course it's only for the government and the courts.

Just like every sale of a car, every sale of a gun should require a background check. In no would doing this stop a single legitimate owner from keeping or bearing arms.

Should have given the student a gun, TO BE AIMED AT THE INSTRUCTOR AT ALL TIMES. We need good guys with guns protecting themselves. When this "accident" occurred, the student should have shot the "instructor" a few times in the chest just to make sure everything turned out alright. Only way to stop these incidents. We need more good guys with guns!

All college students should be allowed to be armed in class and be able to put their weapons in plain sight.

Every Wake student should be given a handgun to bring to class once they have reached 21 years of age.

This should create easy As and lost of reasonable doubt if something happens to the professor.

21 seems awfully old? What are the 18 year-olds supposed to do?

i can do better

assuming he wasn't planning on doing that, there are a lot of gun safety rules, but this responsible gun owner might start by unloading his firearm when going to show it to 10 year olds and keeping his finger off the trigger until he actually wants to shoot.

Yeah, you completely win.

"A South Carolina school resource officer's gun accidentally fired on campus Monday morning"

Thank god we put armed guards in the schools to stop gun injuries.

Why wasn't anyone injured? Luck.

A Decatur, GA guy walks into a school with an AK-47 and exchanges gunfire with police but no one is killed. Good luck.

In Duncan, OK three kids decide to shoot somebody, and kill a jogging university student. Bad luck.

Clearly these stories call out for a national conversation about what can be done to improve luck.
