Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

Why do gun rights activists always need the full outfit to exercise their rights?

Why do I feel like the more likely you are to do this shit "in.protest" indicates they just might not pass a background check?

So if the security isn't there to stop people with guns, what is it there for?

I, for one, welcome our new lady leaders.

Those guys reek of sexual frustration

Notice the rhetoric here:
“All of this started, of course, because of the government action in the state of Virginia. The very rights the forefathers guaranteed citizens are under attack by a certain group of people who believe that the government knows what’s better for the people than the people do,’’ Berger [this is Kevin Berger, Phil Berger's son] said.

“Make no mistake, these rights are under attack from judges and certain political figures that have gained control at various levels of government,’’ Berger said. "To our neighbors in Virginia, we have housing, business space … so you don’t have to go to West Virginia; we’re closer for many of you, and we’d love to have ya.’’

Local Libertarian politician and former professional wrestler Houston Barrow urged commissioners to lobby for a state constitutional amendment that would eliminate permits for purchasing or carrying a concealed firearm.

“The Second Amendment is all we need,’’ Barrow said. “We don’t need permits to protect our rights. Power doesn’t just go from the top down; power goes from the bottom up.’’

Noah Windsor, 16, a Rockingham County Early College student, told commissioners that they must “please stand with the people and realize the people should have the power.’’

The people of Virginia have spoken, and they elected representatives on a gun safety platform.

These guys clearly believe that "the people" only means "people that agree with me".

More specifically, and more ominously, it means "people that have guns".

It's not much of a step from there to "people who are willing to use guns to get their way."

Well, why shouldn't he walk around in front of an opposing politician's home with a gun and threatening messages? Apparently intimidation and threats work. Today 4 Democrats voted with the Virginia Senate minority Republicans to table the gun-control bill for the rest of the year. They also voted to send the bill to a Crime Commission for "further review." Gov. Northam appeared surprised by the defeat, but promised to re-introduce the bill next year. The NRA is already celebrating the defeat of the "anti-American" gun control bill. And what evil, socialist, unconstitutional measures would this bill have introduced? Among other things, it would have banned sales and transfers of assault weapons, made it illegal to possess silencers (why would a typical citizen need those?), and magazines holding more than 12 rounds. The horror!

When will Dem politicians just go buy their own guns and start doing this or their own weird shit instead of whining about it all the time?

Get some courage, dems.

What’s crazy is they would whine and complain about a Dem with a protest sign outside their house.
