Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

The worst part is that if he did lend his friend a gun and that friend killed someone, he’d express his thoughts and prayers on twitter and posit that “there’s nothing that could have been done to prevent this, we never saw it coming”

That's why liability laws are needed. If you lend you car to someone who does damage, you are responsible. The same should be true with guns.

The 2A crowd keeps telling us the a core purpose of guns is to stop government from treading on them. This makes sense to the right.

there are plenty of countries far more "dysfunctional" than the US that don't have 1 mass shooting per day. It's not government dysfunction breeding the horrors, lady.

Vaping may have killed 4 people recently. Our government immediately responded by banning all e-cigarette flavorings. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-vaping-trump/trump-administration-announces-plans-to-ban-flavored-e-cigarettes-idUSKCN1VW2AJ

“We have a problem in our country, it’s a new problem ... and it’s called vaping, especially vaping as it pertains to innocent children,” Trump said. “There have been deaths and there have been a lot of other problems.”

Wish we could come up with some policy response to all the innocent children getting killed by guns daily.

What other flavors besides lead?

Ahhhm, there rubber and steel shot for starters. Clearly you aren’t in the know and have no valid opinions on the matter. You probably thought “Vape” was short for vaporization.

Do we have a conservative poster named EatRubberAntifa?

Didn’t think so.

Biff, that may have been your funniest post.

Damn, these Sandy Hook Promise PSA's are edgy as hell but definitely (hopefully) will make people wake up. This should not be a fear in the lives of our kids.

In this age of mass shooters and threats against Beto in particular how can anyone justify being able to carry an AR-15 into crowd like that? You’re not allowed to scream fire in a crowded theater. Isn’t the potential exactly the same for the crowd to panic and stampede when they see someone show up with an AR-15 to an event like this?
