Any jogging stroller recs?

Looking at the Thule Glide 2

I love those trails so much. My favorite race used to be the Wilkes 100k because it hit all 3 trails up there. I'm racing (well, more like training while other fast people actually race) 6 Hours of Warrior Creek this coming Saturday.

What's your favorite trail? I'm really digging on Dark Mountain these days, but Warrior Creek is a lot of fun too, especially the rock garden.

They've done a whole lot with the trails at Cub Creek too. A lot of fun elevated platforms and new jumps.

If I'm racing I prefer Dark Mountain for sure. A bit more tech, and brakes are needed unlike the other two. If I'm riding for fun with friends I prefer OVT and Warrior Creek equally. I especially love that back side of Warrior Creek where Earthquake, etc. exist. But I haven't been back there in a few years because I like having all of my skin.

It's just SO hard to be that close to Wilson's Creek and not ride there, so I don't make it out to Kerr Scott often unless its for 6WC.

Where do you ride at Wilson’s Creek? I’ve done a lot of kayaking there but I’ve never biked there.

Hi all, I'm not a usual reader of this thread but I've been riding a ton this year. I've had my fair share of close calls (a lot of them my fault!) but today was the first time I was nearly severely injured or killed by a negligent driver. I posted about it here.

I just wanted to remind all y'all deacon cyclists and runners to stay vigilant and avoid complacency. It's dangerous out there. Keep your head up, wear a helmet EVERY TIME, use your lights, and trust NO driver. I make a mental note of every vehicle that comes near me and watch the driver's eyes, especially at a stop sign. Think to myself "What dumb fucking thing is this driver about to do?" It's literally what saved my ass today.

There is quite a lot in Wilson's to ride both gravel and mtb. It's not nearly as groomed as Warrior Creek, but it's way more fun and difficult. There is also amazing gravel.

Here's a great mtb loop or two, and a great gravel route.

Maple Sally Rd. is probably the best gravel road I know of.

Heading to Maple Sally in 2 weeks. Looking forward to it!

Anybody have a bike rack they love?

Also, doing the minduro in Raleigh with my pops. Looks fun.

I don’t love my roof mount. It doesn’t get a good hold on my XL mountain bike. Road bike is fine, but it’s just as easy to toss it in the tailgate.

If I were doing it over, I’d just get a hitch rack.

I have a Thule sidearm that’s fine for getting around town. It’s the kind where your bike is standing straight up on the top of the car and held in place by the front tire. Very easy and convenient in and out. However you can’t go through a restaurant drive through which I found out. Also not a huge fan of driving with it on the highway as all the wind resistance makes me nervous. The tire actually popped loose last time I did that (user error in latching it down) and I had to hold it in place reaching through the sun roof until I could pull over.

Hitch mount for sure; it's really nice not having to take wheels off, etc. Whichever brand you go with (yakima and thule are mechanically very similar at each price point, just aesthetically different) I recommend the kind that straps down your wheel rear with a little ratchet strap and then has an adjustable hook that comes and clamps over your front wheel. This, as opposed to the kind that just has a hook that comes and hooks over your frame, is more stable and can accommodate a wider range of wheel sizes (if you're carrying kid bikes, for example). Pretty sure yakima and thule can both go down to a 20" wheel? Maybe 24".

If money is whatever and you want a nicer rack like the above, Kuat racks are great.
If money is whatever and you want a rack that can accommodate as small as a 16" wheel size kid bike, look at 1up racks.
