Sloth - have you looked at the couch to 5k running plan? You could easily skip the first few steps since you are obviously in better shape than the "couch," but it's a decent build up. From there, there are some good programs to build up to the half (although I'm sure a lot fo folks here may be even more helpful)

I actually did read that--I'm kind of modifying a few things. I'm 1-2 weeks from straight being fine for the 5k, but I want to build up my speed a bit, and make sure I don't get any bad shin splints or aggravate my ankle which has always been a problem since football in high school. Much apprec man.
