Do conservatives still want Chris Christie?

yeah, dean turned himself into a self-made cartoon gif

this is a fuck up by aides that he promptly addressed. you need a phrase or a single soundbite to bury him with this

Completely agree ... assuming he wasn't involved (and there is clear evidence to the point that he would have to address it). If he is clean (or at least smart enough to appear clean) then this could potentially benefit him as I think it would actually play well FOR him with regards to the crazies in his party.

His hug of Obama after Sandy will hurt him more in a primary than this.

There are plenty of things that Obama's screwed up, but the more relevant comparison is Christie and Rand Paul. Appropriating large segments of Wikipedia for speeches is hardly a capital offense, but Rand handled that situation incredibly poorly. He should of just said some flunky in his office screwed up, but Rand had a cow, challenged Rachel Maddow to a duel, and said he was going to footnote his speeches going forward. Way to remain poised and keep things in perspective, Chief.

this is a fuck up by aides that he promptly addressed (so far, anyway). you need a phrase or a single soundbite to bury him with this

Actually the media did. The entire presentation it wasn't that bad.

Christie honestly doesn't even need to worry about the primary at this point. He is going to win it in a landslide IMO. The other candidates are SO weak, and he has a 3/4 mile head start on the mile run (insert fat joke). His national recognition and polling numbers dwarf the competition. Similar situation to Hillary. If she runs in 2016 she gets the nomination and it wont be close.

There will be a lot of money from the far right thrown against him in the primary. He will be weak in Iowa and SC. If he goes into the race thinking he walks in a landslide, he's in trouble. Being the best candidate by a landslide, doesn't mean you win in a landslide. Primaries are funny animals.

By far Christie's best chance is a large field from the far right. His fans will vote for him, but if the field has Rubio, Cruz, Paul and maybe Huckabee and possibly more, Christie's chances increase.

All of this is moot if any of his underlings tie him to the GW scandal. For years, Christie has been called a micro-manager of everything from his law office to the governor's office. Many in Jersey can't imagine how this happened without his approval or knowledge.

If Christie gets the nomination, look for an interesting October surprise in regards to this from the Clintons.

There has been a story about how a friend and contributor to Christie's campaign got a ton of prison contracts.

That should play really well next election. Said no one. The Clintons say hello.

He'll dominate the obese vote, which in this country is probably enough to break 50% and win.

Unfortunately for him, most of the fattest states are already pretty deep shades of red. Can only help him in Ohio and Michigan though.
