LOCK, DELETE.

I think I'd go Albuquerque.

He has a massive swinging dick, 13K/9, great stuff, but he just walks far too many guys right now.

Still, SWAG

Also he is up throwing right now and just throwing SILLY stuff.

ETA struck out the side on 12 pitches. Granted, it's the Astros in Spring, but he's in the discussion, yes.

Honestly, i wish all the bad luck and injuries on any member of the Det. bullpen as karma for that fuckhead, Valverde.

walking guys as a closer isn't that bad because you generally come up with no one on. as such the walks hurt less in similarly leveraged situations than when you come in in the 7th or 8th with men on.

This is awesome, from Cot's re: Delmon Young's contract:

May earn additional $0.6M in bonuses based on six weigh-ins during season ($0.1M each for weighing 230 pounds or less at first three weigh-ins and $0.1M each for weighing 235 pounds or less at last three weigh-ins)

good stuff, and part of the reason i want him as the closer. he is coming off that injury, but his stuff is just so sick. tho that gif above, he kinda hung that one. surprised cespedes didn't clobber it.

Hey y'all.

Just wanted to let folks know about our long-running (this is the 9th season) 12 team Roto Fantasy baseball league on Yahoo! It's 5x5 with OBP in place of BA and Quality Starts in place of Wins. Assuming Nonny ever signs back up, we have 3 openings. PM me if you're interested or want more details.

Thanks!

Oh, and SayHeyDeac won it last year, so it really doesn't require much skill at all to play. Just commitment to stick it out for the season if you can.

I need a new Beachy to follow, since the other Beachy died. What was that site that had Beachy as one of the top pitchers last year? Think maybe it ranked pitchers on velocity or something?

Probably K/9. In 2011, his was the highest among pitchers with at least 140 innings.

For next year I suggest Felix Doubront using the same criteria.

Hey, been very busy and completely forgot. Thanks for reminder and I'm now back in.

You can't be successful for very long without an excellent farm system. That's where Ruben has failed.

Bronson- is there such a list for starters/starting pitching?

that is a big part of it, and part of the reason is his reliance on older players and unwillingness to part with key players from the first WS run. the big errors IMO he's made:

1. polanco over beltre
2. not getting more for lee
3. not trading any of the key vets from the beginning of their nice run

you could make the argument trading for halladay was a mistake (and probably more likely oswalt) because it hurt the system.
