There's a weird subsection of Wake Forest fans mostly older that think being a wake fan should be like supporting a high school team where you would never criticize the players or coach, and that being exceedingly positive to the point of delusion is like some sort of badge of honor

High school athletics is far more contentious than anything our donors would be involved in.

His last 4 years he was 14 & 50 in conference and finished no higher than 8th (out of 9). That's worse than Lowe and comparable to [redacted]. You're right, his inability to recruit sunk him.
