Ongoing NC GOP debacle thread

Stony Rushing makes a good counterpart for Stormy Daniels in the next great political pornography

The NC9 General Election will be Sept 10. Republican shenanigans cost the people of NC9 over 9 months of representation.

This is juicy. All within a few hours yesterday, Pittenger endorses Ridenhour for NC09 and blasts HB2 Bishop for working with the Harris campaign. Bishop denies being campaign manager and sends Pittenger a threatening lawyer letter. Pittenger curtly retracts accusation.

[h=1]NC GOP chairman, major political donor indicted[/h]https://www.wral.com/nc-gop-chairman-major-political-donor-indicted/18300166/

Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolina's largest political donor and three others, including the chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, have been arrested on bribery charges.
Greg Lindberg, two of his business associates and N.C. GOP Chairman Robin Hayes were all indicted last month, but the indictments were unsealed Tuesday. They turned themselves in to the FBI in Charlotte Tuesday as well and had first appearances before a U.S. magistrate.
They're all accused of trying to bribe state Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, who recorded conversations and worked with the FBI to expose an alleged scheme that would have traded more than $1 million in political contributions in exchange for regulatory help at the department. Hayes, a former congressman and GOP candidate for governor, is also charged with three counts of making false statements to the FBI.
On Monday, he announced that he wouldn't seek another term as chairman of the state Republican Party.

But I've heard Republicans claim that only LibDems need to steal votes, because all good Americans vote GOP, so the only way minority Dems ever win is via vote fraud. Surely Republicans don't need to stoop to such tactics. Say it isn't so!

I don't know what I'd do if I didn't get the Walker Report in my inbox every week.

Rep Mark Walker is apparently Public Official A in the indictments. NC may soon be down three representatives (Walker, Harris, Jones).

I pointed out a couple of months ago that Walker may be one ofthe most poorly educated reps in Congress in terms of educational institution pedigree.

On the upside, he will be one of the best educated in the federal pen. He's another religious leader, like Mark Harris. Color me shocked SHOCKED that Walker is involved.

NC went from most progressive in the south to most extremist and racist (from an elected official vantage point) in under a decade. Way to go folks.
