Official Pit Job Search/Employment Thread

My works hiring again! This time it's for a web application director. We're also moving into a sick new office next week (gym, access to a spa right downstairs, awesome coworkers, good work/life balance). I can pull some strings if interested!

I don't even care what the job is, I want to work there!

digital marketing/account management type job opening at my office now! looking for 3-7ish years of experience. really similar to my position. anybody interested?

(i feel like i'm owning this thread right now... lots of hiring going on!)

I really like my job, but head hunters have been calling nonstop lately, and I finally entertained a call from one of them. So he asked me all of the basic questions they need answers to, and asked the salary one. I told him I'm happy at my job, so the new salary would have to be at least $10k better in order for me to entertain the idea of leaving, and he seemed totally like "nbd." Makes me really wonder if I should have given an even bigger number.

Also, can somebody tell me what happens, if I do take a position elsewhere, with the fact that my wedding and honeymoon are coming up later this year? I definitely wouldn't accept an offer if they weren't willing to let me have that time off. Not interested in changing those plans. But I would imagine I'd only get half a year worth of vacation time, which wouldn't be enough for those two things. Is that something I can negotiate?

Want a job in finance?

Move to Mexico. They have a huge shortage of finance professionals.

Friend of mine is moving to Raleigh in July when his wife starts grad school at NCSU.

Has some teaching experience, MS in Biology, BS in Zoology (concentration: herpetology). Would love to work in the museum field, but jobs are hard to get due to limited positions and low turnover. At this point, is open to anything, since they are moving soon for his wife to start school. Has retail and some sales experience, but would most likely be looking at an entry level position in that field.

Anyone know of anything?

Due to some changes at the state level, the number of adjuncting jobs available (especially at community colleges) should be skyrocketing right now. I'd suggest he apply like crazy.

Have a new job to post. I work at CarMax Auto Finance down in the metro Atlanta area. We are looking to hire a servicing analytics supervisor. Looking for people with experience with programming tools (Python, SAS, SQL). Here is a link to the job position. Feel free to share this with your friends who aren't on the boards. If you're interested apply online. Also feel free to PM me and I can give you the contact information for the servicing analytics manager and he can answer any questions you have. (I can't tell you much about the position since I am only in my 3rd week with the company)

No jobs to offer, but I recently started a company providing freelance writing, editing, marketing and PR services. My background includes time as a reporter and two stints as marketing manager/director, in commercial real estate and economic development. If anyone's company has a need for some contract work, please let me know - my rates are really competitive.

As this builds, I'm also keeping my eyes open for full-time work as well, so if anyone has leads on marketing/PR/writing jobs in the Triad, also let me know. Thanks!

Just applied for the partner marketing specialist opening, that's right up my ally.
