Tournament Players Championship

There will be a ton of shots from 140 that don't get closer than 25' at Merion.

Go bounce a golf ball on your driveway. That will give you some indication how it will if there's no rain.
 
Tiger is going to wear that 5 wood out at Merion. Somebody is going to have to be hot as a pistol on the greens to beat him. And there are a lot of guys who could do it. But it's Tiger's to lose as far as I'm concerned.
 
If it rains, Merion will be more vulnerable than a typical Open course because it is so much shorter. But if not, the problem won't just be how hard they'll be or how fast (always the case at an Open) but that they are all different and grainy. They are not easy to read.
 
What they don't want is rain this week and hot and dry for the tourney.
 
Huh? The open is four weeks away. Rain this week would be fine--would thicken up the rough.
