Online Virtual Coach Simulation

here is mine:

SR - 3 WOs
JR - 1 CL net, 2 WO
SO - 1 max tie (1/1), 2 CL net
FR - 1 max tie (2/2), 2 CL net

we are #188

which leads to the question, after four seasons is coach warak worth retaining?

56 - 40 (0.583)
1 Conf Reg and NTT (first season)

tough decision by the administration.

In Flagstaff we have:

SR - 1 max tie (1/1) and 2 CL net
JR - 2 max tie (2/2 and 3/3) and a CL net
SO - 1 CL Net and 2 WO
FR - 2 max tie (2/2, 3/3), 1 safety max tie (1/1)

I've been really fortunate to win ties but i've also put myself as the leader (IMO) on prefs in everyone of those ties. I've recruited impact very heavily the first 4 classes so maybe something in the game engine that impact is now the most important pref over local? Not sure but not complaining. Only been to one NTT so far and one conference tourney win. Am I NTT's Mark Gottfried?

Flagstaff got really fortunate this recruiting cycle and finally brought in some size as well as a really efficient SG/SF that will help ease the scoring burden off of Larry Gary. Class came in at 45/23 and now makes us a much more well rounded and dangerous team. Lots of options now and can get guys who played way out of position last season back where they need to be. The newest WhipperSnappers are:

Raymond Richardson - 6'6 SG/SF - +6/-1 Raymond came in even better than expected and was a 3/3 tie if i'm remembering correctly. Will play him at SF this season but he's the heir apparent for Larry Garry at SG. Will add some actual size and scoring on the wing in Flagstaff since i've been the coach.

Nathaniel Lorman - 6'9 PF/C - +6/-1 Nathaniel was the biggest surprise for me as I was a 2/2 tie but didn't feel I was the best team pref wise in the recruitment. After losing a couple of posts last season I thought i'd get in small ties this makes up for it. Nathaniel does it all but score and is an outstanding rebounder. He will slide right into the C position and will probably be a 4 year starter for me unless I recruit over him.

Nicholas Sainsbury - 6'7 PF/C +4/-2 Nicholas was a 1/1 tie win on a safety Max. More than happy to have him on board as he's an exceptional defender and can rebound his position. Undersized but just having him available to plug in at bC makes me a much more complete and dangerous team.

Early results seem like they have been good. I've been on my honeymoon the last week and a half so haven't really touched anything other than setting a line up on last Saturday. 3-1 so far with 3 decisive wins. Best competition we faced was a beatdown at the hands of warak but i'm hoping that was a bad matchup..... Made a switch at PG and have my guys in what I think are their optimal spots and they responded with a 30 point drubbing of an undermanned Philly team. Tried Larry Gary at PG as he looks like he would be an absolutely great one but his numbers dipped and I think he's just more effective at SG where he can just gun until his hearts content.

No clue what i'm doing with recruiting yet. Going to try and give it a look in the next few days as I climb out of the hole of backed up work emails....

Thanks awaken. I've simplified the list. There are two Evan Jones this season. I don't know why kmoney doesn't just fix this.

Three of my maxes. Not sure about the other one. My only starting senior is at SG. Trying to bring in some off the radar shooters.

Been busy and what posting I've done has been on the simboards but I'm pretty happy with where we're at in Stillwater. Won a couple ties last season so our roster's looking a bit closer to where I'd like it:

SR 4/4 max, 0/0 max, 0/0 net
JR 0/0 net, 0/0 net, net fallthrough
So net fallthrough, wo, wo (ouch)
Fr 3/3 max, 1/1 max, 0/0 net

If memory serves we've had: 4/4, 1/1; 3/3, 3/3, 7/7; 4/4, 3/3, 7/7, 1/1; 3/3, 3/3, 1/1...so ignoring prefs (which i've kept to pretty strictly) we're at 3 maxes out of 3.4 expected. Not great but more than serviceable.

In any case, coming off a s16 last year we're cruising so far this season. Blew out some bad teams and just took down last year's #1 Richmond. Recruiting looks decent:

12 Vega (56)
18 Ricks (UR - but 2 others per boards)
24 King (UR)
25 Warner (UR)

Net looks ok too considering we targeted scorers almost exclusively: 7/24 ranked.

Ton of top 75 players in my net. Probably the worst I’ve done although I did it really quickly and only considered top players. I’ll have to go back to the drawing board.

Durham is maxing

Jose Mills - r10 (16)
Troy Johnson - r11 (NR, but simboards indicates another max)
Jordan Rosenberg - r14 (1)

Durham lost to St Louis 81-88 to finish 3-3 in the Deacon Invitational. Flagstaff and Amarillo put the wood to us. Got some modest wins over Cincy and San Antonio, then got a blow out win over a non-Deacon.

Recruiting was bizarre in that some players who were not on the simboards max list were in fact top 10 recruits. Pretty impressive since > 200 maxes were given. Jordan Rosenberg was twice mentioned as a max on simboards, and came in #1 overall. Dropping off him in this league. Net was about 50/50 ranked and NR. Using saved Rosenberg points to fish again.

Has there been any talk from kmoney about doing HS scrimmages?

Lost tonight to my biggest competition for the conference in a game that really wasn't even close. My team is +13 defense in my 10 guys who play and i'm currently giving up shooting splits of 48/46/72

Good news is I blew out the current #6 team in the country in a scrimmage (with him using his actual lineup) so that's nice. Made a few moves to go with that lineup I tested in the scrimmage and hope to see some better results against the fluff of C32.

This game is extremely frustrating at times.

1-4 start for Durham. Talent-wise, I should be improving on last year's 14-10 team. Graduated ~200 class and brought in a ~40 class. SoS is #115, so not the schedule. Ranked #195. Got Myrtle Beach next, so expecting another L. Really frustrated with FT%. Without HS Scrimmages, I got a team of bad FT shooters, and in college they are shooting even worse than their HS days - like 20% worse, and almost across the entire team. This is just not realistic.
