"Better Call Saul" series finale Monday, August 15 (new Odenkirk show on AMC)

Wary of this like I was wary of Anchorman 2.

This is one thing I really like about the gradual changes in TV schedules. Seems like fewer shows are rushed because they're not wed to a set starting date.

Interesting news. Also it has already been renewed for a 13 episode 2nd season.

Peter Gould, executive producer of AMC’s Breaking Badspinoff Better Call Saul, told the New York Daily News that the spinoff will jump between decades and may even include scenes that take place during the Breaking Bad timeline. This means that there’s a chance Bryan Cranston will reprise his three-time Emmy-winning role as school teacher-turned-meth kingpin Walter White.
“One of the great things about having a timeline which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place beforeBreaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad,” Gould told The New York Daily News. “That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed onBreaking Bad.”

It would be cool to see someone coming in to see Saul for a DUI or something and have them walk through Saul's waiting room while Walt and Jesse are sitting there in the background. Just a pan-by with the camera.

Interesting new info. For example, his name isn't Saul Goodman yet.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad. Vince Gilligan andBreaking Bad writer and producer Peter Gould created the show together and serve as co-showrunners of the premiere season. The series is set six years before Saul Goodman (Odenkirk) meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut (Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer.” The series’ tone is dramatic, woven through with dark humor.

The Better Call Saul theme song.

Spoiler alert: The blonde is legit.

So Toys R Us is now selling Breaking Bad action figures.

Down one aisle in the Fort Myers’ Toys R' Us, you'll find what has one mom literally breaking bad about the show's action figures.

“It's about drugs, you're selling it in a children’s toy store?” Schrivjer told FOX 4’s Gabrielle Sarann

It's what the $17.99 lead characters are dressed and outfitted for that has outraged.

The Walter White action figure dons a lab coat and comes with two beakers and a gas mask while his accomplice, Jesse Pinkman carries Chili pepper, his own mask and he's also wearing a hazmat suit.

They even come with little blue crystals.

I love that TRU's defense is that these are clearly indicated as being for 15+ year olds. Because that makes it okay.

First clip from the show featuring what is presumably Saul and Mike's second meeting.
