What did you google? I just googled "Wake forest message boards" and it wasn't even on the first page.

Something like "wake forest sports message board irishslim" it was halfway down the first page. I had PMd a couple people asking where the new site was, but figured I'd check google. Again, was surprised how easy it was to find.
 
Yeah,I read that before they deleted it. They were trying to figure how to ban posters if they did anything on scout to promote these boards. It was not their finest hour to be sure.
 
Just tried google again and it isn't coming up in the search. I've heard of companies manipulating the search function on google to feature their company prominently and to omit results pertaining to competitors. Wonder if that is happening...

Edit: Now you can't even find this site on google when the search is "OGB wake forest message board". I know for a fact this worked the other day because I used that search to find the boards at my office.

The other issue was whether anyone would post their insider info. over here and what they would do about it.
 
Doubt it. DS is just a small fraction of Scout as a whole. I doubt Scout could give a shit.

What's interesting is how the Rivals boards come up second in the search results.

Over time, this site will creep up though. Google's results change over time.

The issue brought up by Reg was premium-insider-info being leaked to these boards. If you pay for it, you obviously care that it doesn't just get reposted to everyone (like I suspect DeaconKing did, but no one's told me who DeaconKing is yet, or if he actually posts on DeaconSports).

So that was the real issue, as I remember it. The response from mods and others was that, if someone was indeed leaking information, an IP ban could be appropriate. I read all of 5 posts after that, but the next day the thread was gone. I don't know what the entire transcript was.
 
I was surprised how vindictive they were prepared to be. I guess that is why they deleted it. I'm probably out now.

They're scared. And they should be.

Even if we provide just 10% of the info they do, we'll win. And frankly, this isn't all that revolutionary of thinking. See: YouPorn redefining the porn industry. To wit: I found out that Rountree had committed via Twitter an hour before DS posted it on Premium.

They started resting on their laurels, and not just in the Premium Info realm. Where the fuck did GM07 go? He stops being active, he should stop being a mod, it's that simple. That's what our plan is. It's very likely I'll have to give up my modship here in the next 4-6 months, as I transition to the next part of my life. And I'm okay with that. Because moderators should be fucking active and engaged leaders, not unseen, unheard censors.

Fucking DS clowns.
 
I keep inviting cagles to our own boards. Don't think he has accepted yet.
 
I'll never drop Irish from the mods list. We would say "just ignore that twat-bag" but I would never drop him. We started these boards as a bond. Viva.
