Wow. Is Dan trolling all of us? Getting us all fired up so that we will be pissed at whoever Wellman hires?
 
I think the theory that Dan is fucking with us to get back at us for all the fat/donut jokes over the years is the most likely scenario for that "settling" remark that he made is the most likely scenario.

Can't help but think this is someone figuring 3 > 1 and not taking a second to understand the difference between VCU and UCLA?

And also can't help but think where this person has been the last 4 years. If Shaka is settling, what the hell was 4 years of he who shall not be named?
 
Luring Shaka away from VCU would be considered settling?

The real info is that there is somebody out there, possibly someone involved in the process, who thinks Shaka would be settling.

The rest is just Dan recapping what we assume.
 
So, is Stevens tired of the NBA already?

The really nice thing is we don't have to be in any rush. We are only competing with BC, Marquette and USF now, and the $ is there with the positioning of the ACC. If nothing else, RW is doing a masterful job keeping radio silence on his end and the ends of the people he is talking with.
 
So we're waiting for the tournament to end so...what, we can offer Izzo, Donovan and Pitino?

Not sure why someone in AD would want to be raising expectations.

More likely someone just outside the process using Dan to apply pressure.
