i'm giving this its own thread because screw you i put a lot of work into it that's why

Over on the flight tracking thread, we noticed Friday night that a couple of planes with WF ties had flown to Palm Beach. On Saturday and Sunday, that quickly exploded as we started finding more and more planes with WF ties gathering in the area. Now, disclaimer: I have no idea what any of this means, and it could easily have nothing to do with anything. But, there was some confusion in the Flight Tracking thread over how many planes there were and who they were owned by, and I thought I'd take the time to sort it all out. So, here's a primer on every plane we think might possibly have something to do with the MASSIVE BEACH PARTY '14.

Private WFU-related Flights:

PLANE 1: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N855FC
This is Donald Flow's plane. Flow, as we're all aware, is the Chairman of the Wake Forest Board of Trustees. His plane is my best guess for the flight that Wellman took to the First Four in Dayton a couple of weeks ago (as Wellman's trip placed him in Toledo at some point). This is the only plane that Flow owns, according to flight registration records.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Smith Reynolds to Nashville to Palm Beach on 3/28
Return Flight Route: Returned to Smith Reynolds directly from Palm Beach later on 3/28

PLANE 2: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N450CP
This plane belongs to William J Armfield IV, the registered owner of Carolina Blue Air, LLC. The company is a charter flight service, but this is their only registered plane. Armfield has deep UNC ties (hence the company name), and he is a former chairman of the UNC BoT. That being said, he's listed as a "friend" on WIN, and appears to also be a donor at Wake. That's obviously not much to go on, but his flight patterns this weekend were very, very similar to that of Flow's plane. These first two planes were our first leads into plane activity in southeastern FL.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Richmond to Greensboro to Palm Beach on 3/28
Return Flight Route: Returned to Richmond, stopping at Greensboro, from Palm Beach on 3/30

PLANE 3: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N977JC
This is Ace Limited LLC's plane. Ace Limited LLC is registered to Walter Thompson Comerford, of Winston Salem. Comerford (of Comerford & Britt) is a lawyer with an office in downtown W-S. He's a double Deac, and a parent of two Deac alumni. Unlike the previous two planes, this one didn't have any direct links to Palm Beach, instead flying in and out of nearby Vero Beach.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Smith Reynolds to Vero Beach on 3/27
Return Flight Route: Returned to Smith Reynolds directly from Vero Beach on 3/31

PLANE 4: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N315WF
I can't figure out who owns this plane, but it's registered to Demon Deacon LLC, of Baltimore, MD. The registered agent for the LLC is Jay Fred Cohen, but Cohen is a lifelong UMD supporter, and it looks like he's just the owner's lawyer. We found video of this plane in flight, but there was no owner information left over. I also found some photos of the plane, but the photographers were dead ends. There are some flightlog notes that mention an Alex, a Justin, a Bart, and a Rick as having flown in the plane. I believe Bart is one of the photographers (Bart Elder, no WFU relations). Beyond that, I have no leads. Whoever owns it, between the LLC name and the WF tailnumber, this flight has strong Wake Forest ties. One theory has Christopher King, who is on the Deacon Club Board of Directors, on this flight. King lives in Ellicott City, MD.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Baltimore to Hilton Head on 3/28, then Hilton Head to Vero Beach on 3/30
Return Flight Route: Went from Vero Beach to Smith Reynolds on 3/31

PLANE 5: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N560DG
This is technically another charter flight, like PLANE 2. It is registered to Direct Jet Charter LLC, which is registered to Harold D Green. He goes by H Dean Green, and resides in Greensboro, showing up in WIN as Dean Green. Like Armfield, he's listed as a "friend" of the university. Like Flow, he runs a car dealership chain (Green Ford of Greensboro). This is the plane that originally inspired us to start looking outside of Palm Beach and into the surrounding SE FL area.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Greensboro to Smith Reynolds to Boca Raton on 3/28
Return Flight Route: Returned to Greensboro, stopping at Smith Reynolds, from Boca Raton on 3/30

PLANE 6: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N95AN
I'm including this mostly on a hunch. We never discussed it on the boards, but it's a plane registered to GRP Inc. GRP Inc is owned by George R Perkins Jr, of Sanford, NC. I can't directly link Perkins to the university, is the problem. He graduated from NC State, and a George Perkins does show up in WIN as a "friend", but it's to what appears to be an unrelated Virginia address. Perkins is the now-retired CEO of Frontier Spinning Mills. He's also a director at First Bancorp. Again, this is really just a hunch, and he's obviously the weakest connection out of all of these flights.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Sanford to Charleston to Boca Raton on 3/29
Return Flight Route: Returned to Sanford directly from Boca Raton later on 3/29

PLANE 7: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N99MN
This is the opposite of PLANE 6, in that I'm only including it because it was mentioned on the boards. I don't see much significance here, but it's registered to Blue Star Properties, LLC, which is owned by T David Neill of Winston Salem. Neill, like Armfield and Green, is listed as a "friend" on WIN. The only problem? This plane doesn't really fit into the Florida timeline at all. If it's related to the others, it merely was fetching someone from Washington DC so that they could be picked up in Winston Salem by another plane. I think that's stretching it, though.
Outgoing Flight Route: Went from Smith Reynolds to Washington Dulles on 3/28
Return Flight Route: Returned to Smith Reynolds directly from Washington Dulles later on 3/28

Charter Flights with No Known WFU Connections:

PLANE 8: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/EJA230
Flight Information: Flew from Raleigh Durham to Palm Beach on 3/28. This is the only time in the plane's recent history (back to 12/2013) that it has flown this route. The flight out of Palm Beach doesn't appear to be relevant, so another plane would have had to fly the person(s) back.

PLANE 9: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/EJA952
Flight Information: Flew from Williamsburg, VA to Palm Beach on 3/29, and then from Morristown, NJ to Palm Beach on 3/30. Like PLANE 8, both of these flight routes are unique to the plane's recent history. I fully admit that including this plane in our theories is a pretty huge logical leap.

PLANE 10: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/CNS523
Flight Information: This is where things get interesting again. This plane flew from Palm Beach to Smith Reynolds on 3/30, and is returning to Palm Beach from Smith Reynolds as I type this. This seems to be a very, very rare route for charter flights. I think the popular theory with this plane would be that it's a return route for any one of the passengers on another flight.

PLANE 11: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/CNS357
Flight Information: Like PLANE 10, this is a CHRONOS flight (which doesn't appear to have many planes). I don't read much into it, honestly, but it was mentioned on the boards, so I'll include it here. It flew from Arnold Palmer Rgnl (near Pittsburgh, PA) to Vero Beach on 3/30. Hasn't flown since. This plane actually doesn't appear to fly much at all.

You forgot to mention the most important clue... on Wednesday or Thursday, OUR BOY HOOPLA said he was heading to Palm Beach for the weekend

Billy Armfield's plane down there has nothing to do with this hire. Just scratch that off that list.

Maybe a bunch of old guys wanted to fly to FL to play golf for the weekend and get away from this shitty northeast weather (poured rain all weekend)?

Or, we interviewed a coach.

I know of a Wake Donor that has a plane not on the list. What the hell RSF, get it together.

Track the planes from Norman, OK and see if Lon Kruger might have been there.
