that last one is great. US comes out of nowhere in the last 300 years to place; indonesia with a strong push at the finish but comes up short.

I'm surprised Delaware is that low, considering how many of the state's roads are constantly under construction.

That was fascinating. China had multiple eras of significant population decline (in absolute numbers) before the most recent population explosion to being the most populous country.

Taxes aren't high in DE. They are actually very low. No sales tax, very low property and income tax. Many of the taxes are externalized (tolls and corporate taxes).
