And this is not going to turn out well for Wake Forest.
Say who? Looks like we'll be one of the best teams in Division 1.

Serious question for BKF - why don't you just pick a D III school and start cheering for them? WLU maybe? Let that be your college sports outlet with real student athletes who are pursuing degrees and aren't that different from the average student on campus and then let MSD/ACC Sports/"Div IV" be more like NFL/NBA lite to you. The things BKF describes still exist, just not at ACC schools.
In today's NCAA and ACC and especially if Wake was to become part of a DIV with new rules, I fail to see why what Wake offers would not allow Wake to be great in basically every sport except for men's basketball and football...especially women's sports. Heck, I still don't understand why Wake doesn't clean up in sports like tennis, soccer, golf, etc where even the most special players typically still live the college life that BKF talks about in his post.
I bet it was in the snow, and uphill both ways.I used to feel the way that many of you do now. I lived & died with every WF win or loss. Hell, I was a guy who was so upset after the scoreboard game in 1975 that I left the coliseum and walked 13 miles while the 2nd game of the tournament was being played.

It was actually pretty warm for early March. 39 years ago now, and I still remember everything that happened that day from the timeout with 52 seconds left in regulation like it was yesterday.
The SEC just gave out 20+ million per school this year, a new record for them, and the SEC network hasn't even started yet.
Remember, only one ACC team went to the NCAA Tournament in 1975....and Carolina was 4 points down with 25 seconds to play when that call was made.
didnt want to create a new thread for this...
