SCOTUS decisions

I guess we all know one person who is happy to see Kennedy and his pro-civil (and individual) rights "agenda" leave the bench: SwissChaletDeac nee BKF.

Gotta get in some justices who will make sure the gays can't marry and don't have equal rights.

classic from the guy guy who deleted his posts but definitely has way more than anyone save Ph

must have been hard work fleecing people with shitty life products in your day when you had to walk around and collect the premiums by hand

LOL. Is that all you've got? You really think I've made 35K posts here? And I've probably sold fewer than 25 life insurance policies in the last 15 years.

Plus, I'm retired. My only son is grown & married. I could post all day long and still have $100K/year coming in from four different retirement sources. Guys like you & PH are supposed to have jobs & have families with minor children. How the hell do you do justice to those two things and have the time to make 125,000 posts between the two of you at the same time?

Yes you have, bob, except that you know we can't prove it, because you've spent god knows how much time over the years deleting most of your posts on these boards. I know, because I watched it happen. I remember reading some of your posts, only to have them disappear shortly afterwards. It turned out you were purging them. You used to call it "cleaning up things", remember? And, then, after you'd deleted your posts, you would challenge other posters to prove that you'd said something, knowing that they couldn't, because the posts were gone. Just another example of what a stand-up guy you are, bob.

The Dems should be offering Murkowski and Collins whatever committees they want and a lifetime of not having to raise campaign funds to become Dems.

Maybe guarantee McCain a statue in the Capitol to vote with them.

Really only needed one more year. Then you can claim McConnell's too close to the election.

Requires a large enough Dem majority to stay in lockstep to pull that off. Would rather the Dems not pull a similar stunt, but scrutinize the candidate and then approve or reject him/her as the 2nd Amendment requires.

Of course you would, when it is not the party you support. But thanks for sharing.

Nominating "homosexuals?" Get the fuck out of here with this bigoted garbage Bud. This is disgusting. Fuck you.

yep. gotta keep those faggots out of office.

And the worms ate into his brain

LOL. Keep up with the required leftwing rage. It's working so well for you right now. One question, though, if you would calm down for a minute: Do you think nominating a homosexual...from a strictly political perspective...will lead to a better result for Democrats in a statewide election? Do you think that nominating a socialist will lead to a better result for Democrats? Because if your answer to either of those two questions is yes, it's easy to understand why you continue to shrink as a national political party.

That is a big problem for Democrats today. They use only emotions without reason when addressing social issues. And they mistakenly continue to believe that their positions & beliefs...no matter what they are....represent the majority of Americans in this country.

He's on record (as BFK) as despising and fearing transgenders, so this really isn't a surprise. At least he's inadvertently confirmed who he thinks "Real Americans" are - white, straight, socially reactionary small-town folk like himself. In other words, your typical Trumpite. Gays, blacks, Latinos, and other minorities apparently don't fit. No wonder he hates the modern Democratic Party so much.

65 percent of Americans are in favor of same sex marriage which to me indicates that nominating gay politicians is fine from an electoral vantage point.

Speaking of, Jared Polis won the democratic primary last night in Colorado and is looking to become the first openly gay governor elected in the country.

2 more years wouldn't help you, anyway. If you let the Far Left extremists keep marching the Democratic Party off the cliff by nominating socialists, homosexuals & other leftwing lunatics you going to be further away from regaining a majority in two years than you are now.

Nominating homosexuals...the horror...

You've gone full on bigot...I wonder what he'd do if his granddaughter came out as a beautiful, kind, smart lesbian.

That's not exactly true. I've found that I like 45+ year old black people more than I like 20-something year old white liberals.

Well I’d at least wonder where the first three qualifiers came from given her relationship to BKF.

I hate to tell you this, bob, but there are more important things than winning elections. Sometimes doing what's right is a minority sentiment - but it's still the morally right thing to do. A minority of Americans supported the civil rights movement for much of its run, and it cost the Democrats the white South, but it was still the right moral thing to support. Gay marriage rights were a minority sentiment (and still are in many places, remember NC's Amendment 1?), but it was wrong to deny gays their rights as equal citizens, including the right to marry. If the Democrats have to lose some elections because they support the right of minorities to equal treatment under the law, and old white folk like you turn out in droves to oppose that, then so be it. It's a shame you don't seem to understand that anymore, bob, as you used to believe in that yourself.

Lolz. Yet you have repeatedly attacked and criticized blacks as being dumb for not voting the way you want them to vote. I also love the "not exactly true" part. So you're admitting that the rest of my claim is true? That you despise transgenders and gays? They're not "Real Americans" the same way you are? And yet you don't think you're a bigot. And here you are, refusing to admit that you're really BKF. Character above all!

Well, I was never talking about support for allowing same-sex marriage. If you remember, I voted in favor of that myself in a NC referendum. All I said was that I didn't think that it helped as a candidate. We will see what happens in Colorado....but the bigger electoral problem for Democrats, as we just saw in the last election, is that there are 50 states....and most of them aren't like California....or even Colorado, for that matter.

Also, Polis has a shitload of money to spend, which has the potential to offset other potential disadvantages.

The problem is that the country has kept going down a path of representation that does not represent majorities but a minority and further fringe element of America, not real Americans like Murdering Bob says.

First step allow corporations to be people, floods the system with cash. Next step run all that money towards winning state elections and wait for the census. Redraw new found gains to consolidate power and get a minority to remain in the majority. Setback, a black man is elected president, twice. Racist and shit elements need to be tended to, fostered and carefully cultivated but remain in the shadows. Using your majority despite minority through money and state politic bullshit block replacement of Supreme Court seat. New election seems impossible but system of voter suppression, gerrymandering, outside influence, lightening in a bottle, a shit opponent, and releasing your carefully cultivated racist and shit elements results in a win. Setback, can’t put the racist and shit elements back in the shadows, oh well Supreme Court seat replaced another to be replaced, the tactics you have used to stay in power can now forever be cemented. Victory! The 27% now have total power over the 72%.

Well, that's one problem that you will never have to worry about, isn't it?
