SCOTUS decisions

LOL. I'm sure that the good judge has no problems with Fox News, OAN, the NY Post, or other right-wing media sites being "virtually" GOP propaganda outlets. Yet another example of conservatives being all for cancel culture as long as they're the ones doing the cancelling.

next thing you know GOP will push that black people only count 3/5 of a white person again...in order to stay competitive with Demarcates

'merica

That be a Dem policy

That be a Dem policy

Republicans are the ones right now shoving prisons into red districts and denying prisoners the right to vote to give Republicans more power.

You know, just maybe at some point in the 20th Century - say, around the 1950s and 1960s, the time of the Civil Rights Movement - large numbers of Southern Democrats suddenly started voting Republican. And a number of Southern Democratic politicians, like Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms, switched to the GOP, and by the 80s and 90s the region, and most of white rural America, had become solid red Republican. But, hey, Jim Crow Democrats something Robert Byrd KKK something Gov. Northam blackface something.

How did house Dems vote on restoring the right to vote to prisoners?

Don’t remember. It didn’t pass though.

A little of in timing. Civil Rights Act (1964) and Voting Rights Act (1965) were the big catalysts. Northern Democrats were joined by enough Republicans to break the Southern Democrats filibusters. Then Nixon used the " southern strategy" to win in 1968 and then again in 1972 when McGovern ran as an anti-war left wing Democrat.
