Here's my list. I'm open to other ideas.

Brooks & Dunn
The Judds
Sons of the Pioneers

I never was an Alabama fan and in retrospect I see the boys from Fort Payne as being to country music what Dale Murphy was to baseball - a few great years but not sustained excellence over time. And I say that as a huge fan of Murph. I didn't consider duos such as Conway & Loretta as they had stellar solo careers. Flatt & Scruggs would be my first runner-up.
 
Alabama, Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, and Brooks and Dunn.

As much as I love the SB and the ORB, If Alabama had stopped making music in 1989 they would still be the headliner of this list.
 
The dude in the lower right is the spitting image of Kenny Powers.

The guy in the upper left looks like Ronnie Milsap with blonde hair. The guy in the lower left reminds me of someone. Just can't remember who.
 
The guy in the upper right was the Barry Gibb of the group, the one the ladies liked.

Not all those are bands.... But i'm a yuge Tyler fan boi. Sturgill Simpson/Childers concert that got canceled in Austin was on my Bday weekend. Tears bro.
