Not sure if this propublica piece was posted yet. When a cop gets fired for NOT shooting.

https://features.propublica.org/weirton/police-shooting-lethal-force-cop-fired-west-virginia/

Kuzma had opened fire. He stood some 30 feet from Williams, and his first three shots missed their target. One bullet was fired into the grass. Another struck a tree and then the door frame of a nearby house. A third bullet punctured the tire of a truck in a neighbor’s driveway. Mader could instantly hear the hissing of air.

^^ This was not the police officer fired for putting people at risk.

Wesley Bell dismisses three veteran prosecutors, and announces policy changes

One day after taking office new St. Louis County Prosecutor, Wesley Bell, fired three veteran assistant prosecutors.

Long-time top assistant prosecutors Kathi Alizadeh and Ed McSweeney, along with assistant prosecutor Jennifer Coffin were informed Wednesday that they were suspended or terminated.

Alizadeh and McSweeney had both been with the office for more than 30 years and said they were dismissed without warning and without meeting Bell. Alizadeh was one of the prosecutors who presented evidence to the grand jury in the Michael Brown shooting case.

Quick reminder that they had people testify to the grand jury that they knew were lying. And they let one come back with a journal she had faked as evidence.

It's perplexing to me that the same people who think government is oppressive don't think government can oppress minorities.

HPD Chief Acevedo says narcotics cop committed likely crime by lying in affidavit for deadly raid

An internal Houston police investigation has uncovered alarming deficiencies in the department's narcotics division that led to an allegedly falsified search warrant used to justify a southeast Houston drug raid last month that killed two Pecan Park residents and injured five officers, according to documents obtained Friday by the Houston Chronicle.

In a hastily called press conference, Police Chief Art Acevedo said Gerald Goines, the veteran narcotics case agent at the center of the controversy, will likely face criminal charges. The internal investigation revealed he allegedly lied about using a confidential informant to conduct an undercover buy at the residence on Harding Street. The buy led to a raid and a fatal gunfight at the house the next day, killing Dennis Tuttle, 59, and Rhogena Nicholas, 58, and injuring five Houston Police Department officers.
