Solar power...to de-ice a road during a winter storm? OK then.

The amount of power that bridge needed to de-ice on average would require an ~80 solar panel farm on a sunny day. Just saying.
 
Saw a video about a home the de-iced the driveway using solar heated water stored in the basement and run though pipes under the driveway. The system collected the melted snow and put it back in the water heaters.
