OFFICIAL Elizabeth Warren is awesome thread

Defended shellings on Gaza schools. She's also the senator from Massachusetts which has a good number of Jews.

she made the speech backing the bill to send them the additional 250 mil we sent this year saying we need an ally in the middle east and they should be able to defend themselves

nothing too crazy, and you don't get far in this country as a tough on israel liberal

i guess you can't get everything you want

so are Hilary's, and to be frank, most American senators

Right, which is a group consisting of zero real progressives.

She's a sound-bite champ, but not much new regulation has spawned from her quest against the banks. Not on her, but also makes you wonder how she would be any different than Obama who won an election on great marketing and viral video-style speeches that resulted in a very unprogressive presidency.

One law professor in the White House is enough. We don't need to add another with fake injun cred.

I think many Americans are more Progressive than they realize. Elizabeth Warren's words can awaken them.

She is so amazing.

I think she's great, but I think she'd get Dukakised.

I know and it's sad :(

It's like America is the 76ers, just tanking with this crony captitalism and corporatocracy bullshit. I'm not sure we can reform our way outta this one.

I did a little reading on this section that is getting removed from Dodd-Frank and it sounds like the riskiest swaps (those tied to subprime loans) will still need to be held in holding companies that cannot benefit from taxpayer support. Now that Dodd-Frank has been around for a while, Congress is probably warming up to the bank lobbies who are trying to water down sections they argue are more harmful than good. I don't doubt that the banks squeezed a little extra on their side now that Congress is open to the idea of trying to find the right balance in Dodd-Frank. I did enjoy the Citi bashing though.

She would be the first American Indian president. I heard she's descended from Sitting Bull.

This thread is quite informative as a barometer of this board. Hillary is too conservative. Elizabeth Warren is better but not really left enough. Bernie Sanders, well yea, maybe he is left enough since he is true socialist.

Has Warren ever worked outside of Academia and public service?

For someone supposedly new to the board you sure have it all figured out

Using the same internet you have access to, I found she was a stay at home mom and a lawyer before becoming a law professor.
