Notorious BIG-Ready to Die
James Carr-You Got My Mind Messed Up
Townes Van Zandt-Rear View Mirror(It's a live recording so I'm not sure if it meets the criteria or not, but it perfectly encapsulates what Townes' music was, much more so than his overproduced studio albums)
Prince-Purple Rain
Curtis Mayfield-Superfly
Otis Redding-Otis Blue

Also ditto on LCD Soundsytem and Astral Weeks

Track by track, 3 is better than 4. Unpopular opinions thread probably, but Gallows Pole > Tangerine is unbeatable.

i was going to add that houses of the holy is better than III and IV, and note that physical graffiti is the best of all, but I'd just be picking nits at that point.

there is a reason zeppelin is the GOAT

Sound of Silver is one of my favorites, but I usually skip over North American Scum. As Mitch Hedberg said about pancakces, it's all exciting at first, but by the end your sick of it.

Arcade Fire's Funeral is my best example of a perfect album. Each song perfectly feeds into the next, no weak points, and you couldn't pull one song out without damaging the whole.
