Ongoing US GOP Debacle Thread: Seditious Republicans march toward authoritarianism

This time it will definitely trickle down, if we get Big Labor out of the way.
 
The government is so wasteful. Once you have seen the inside of it, it disgusts you. How poorly the tax cut happened and how little it did to the people it “was going to benefit” with jobs and raises...downright deplorable. Not a damn one politician has a soul. That is bipartisan!

Five months after he was named vice chairman of the Republican Party in Texas’ Tarrant County, which includes Fort Worth, a faction including local precinct chairs are seeking to recall him at a vote in January. One described the conflict as a “civil war” within the party.
They argue that Dr. Shafi, who came to the U.S. in 1990 before becoming a surgeon, is unfit because Islam is entwined with political ideology they believe is incompatible with Republican Party positions and American values—a charge Dr. Shafi, party leaders and religious experts reject as prejudice.
Top Texas Republicans including Sen. Ted Cruz and land commissioner George P. Bush have defended Dr. Shafi. And local GOP officials worry the controversy threatens efforts to expand the appeal of their party in Texas’ third most-populous county, part of a rapidly diversifying region that is important to Republicans maintaining statewide power.
“There are some people in our party here who are just plain anti-Muslim,” said Tarrant County GOP chairman Darl Easton, who appointed Dr. Shafi to his post. “There are more than I expected there to be.”

I'm sure the Post is already in the process of hiring some of the conservative writers from the WS to add to the vast diversity of opinions at the paper.

My only concern is there might not be enough room for another conservative voice at the WaPo with Jennifer Rubin and Max Boot already on board.

While a splintered field of Democrats fight for the nomination, Republicans expect to gain an organizational advantage.
 
Great and all but someone should tell them to maybe look at what happened in the house, Trumps approval, and how linking him to every candidate probably not the best idea.

Seems like it’s a good opportunity to grift some extra cheddar from events at Trump properties and unaccounted expenses with Trump family members. Smart business move.

Yes. Direct the campaign to hold events at Trump properties. Grossly overcharge the campaign for the use of the properties. Profit.
 
And this time they’ll be more aggressive about torching his candidacy so he doesn’t actually win and get inconvenienced by having to pretend govern some more.
