Just use the political solution and vote your way out!

You can't see the flag till the end, but we're talking about a full on flag.
What's really amazing about that chart is that in Wisconsin and Ohio, the Democrats could win 60%-plus of the statewide popular vote and still not win even a slim majority in the legislature. Given that neither party is likely win either state by ten, much less twenty, percentage points in the legislative races anytime soon, that means the GOP has a more or less permanent majority in the legislature of both states - there is no realistic way to vote them out without an insane popular vote majority for Democrats. Which, of course, is what the whole Supreme Court case was about. And things aren't much better here in NC, although we at least do have a Democratic-majority state supreme court to make a ruling. Whether the NC state legislature will accept their decision is another matter. The GOP in Wisconsin and Ohio hasn't just gerrymandered the state in their favor, they've virtually ended any chance of the opposition regaining power in the legislature, perhaps for decades.
Nah, just sue till it’s blue !
I wonder why the Mother Jones article didn’t do a little chart for Illinois, Arizona, or Maryland?

For the record, I am in favor of a Congressional fix assigning district drawing to a computer algorithm that is optimized for compactness and doesn’t take account of race, party affiliation, community interest, etc. No more minority-majority districts and no more gerrymandering.
