Sure, openly supporting violence, particularly gun violence, due to a democratically elected leader is a horrible thing. It is pretty basic.

Also it is pretty easy for normal people to criticize people from any political spectrum.

Good article on how Congresswoman Elise Stefanik went from a respected GOP House member (even among many Democrats) to one of Trump's main defenders in the impeachment hearings. What I found particularly interesting is reading how many House Democrats were "blindsided" by her transformation, and are still at an apparent loss to understand why she did so. The article also says that many House Democrats were "shaken" by her sudden transformation into an aggressive, diehard Trumpite. After reading the article one gets the sense that, whatever the motivations of Stefanik and Congressional Republicans, many Congressional Democrats are in denial about what they're up against, and naively hoping that at least some Congressional Republicans like Stefanik aren't really as loyal to Trump as they appear. It's almost the attitude of "she ought to know better!" You'd think by this point they'd have figured it out by now.
