How far? Totally. If a Dem is elected POTUS in 2020, right-wing sites like American Greatness or Townhall will start running articles about how the evil, Venezuelan Socialist LibDems want an unleashed, unaccountable Executive Branch so fast it will make everyone's heads spin.

Look no further than state houses giving the governor all sorts if new powers and taking all power away in lame duck sessions when a Democrat is elected.

not when you have an AG who is going to cover your ass no matter what. These guys better be praying for a pre-pardon. The next POTUS will have plenty of time to put these guys in prison for a long time.
