WF opens its baseball season three weeks from today with a home 6 pm start against Delaware.

Some tidbits about the upcoming season:

- In the ACC coaches pre-season poll, WF is picked to finish 5th out of 7 teams in the Coastal
- The ACC will use the same divisional format as football with Louisville (BTW, Louisville has a strong baseball program, 50-17 in 2014 and will be a top 15 team in the first baseball poll) and Notre Dame in and Maryland out (Cuse has no baseball program).
- WF does not play an OOC game outside the State of NC until May 12 (its last OOC game of the season), when it plays Coastal Carolina in Myrtle (can never remember WF playing zero OOC games outside of the Carolinas)
- The 3 ACC teams not on WF's schedule in 2015 are: UNC, GT and UVA; while that is about as favorable schedule as possible, pathetic that UNC and WF do not play in baseball; if WF is going to play OOC games against Davidson, Elon, UNC-W, W. Carolina and High Point; WF should play an OOC home and home series versus UNC; they do this is in the SEC; there is no reason WF and UNC can't do the same.

What is the outlook on Walters? Serious question; I'm not picking on the guy. Just wondering where the Deacs need to finish this year for folks to feel good about his leadership.

If WFU doesn't play Holes & UVA this year and misses tourney again, it might be show him the door time.

Just out of curiosity, how many Walter recruited guys have been drafted?

Anybody know who our weekend starting 3 pitchers will be this year? We actually had a few of the weekend starters drafted last year. Not sure we have any returning weekend starters.
