Wake-Clemson

We've lost 4 ACC games when leading in the final five minutes. That's just too many.

He could have called it when devin got the rebound, or when he passed it to wilbekin, or when he passed it to codi. He had plenty of time.
 
There was little to no time for Manning to call a timeout before we lost the ball. And apparently he was trying anyway.

The shit that doesn't go your way on the road in the ACC
 
Should have been a 15-20 point win, Codi killed us time after time with stupid, quick shots.

This is what I saw, too. Lack of defensive awareness from our defensive specialist was really pitiful.

It's becaus I'm sick of this shit. DM needs to. Get his head out of his ass. He has made terrible decisions late in games. he needs to pick it up. This is a shit show

He collapsed on the driver and got knocked out of the play. His momentum was taking him out of bounds and he couldn't/didn't try hard enough to recover.

We need players who VALUE the basketball and understand possessions. We're just a damn train wreck when it comes to managing the game in the half court.
 
I was yelling at the TV for a timeout when Devin got that offensive rebound in a bad position. I was so excited to have the ball with shot clock off in a "overtime at worst" situation.

You really need to call a timeout there, even if there is no steal there is no lock that we run the clock properly on the fly, college kids etc.
 
On positive note, we are in the fight in every game minus the second half of the UNC game and that IMO is huge progress!

He's a freshman in terms of experience in these situations. How many times has he played in games with the game on the line?

He's a top perimeter defender off ball on the team. We use him to deny shooters really effectively. He does get beat off the dribble too easily. He relies on length to make up for poor footwork. But he's the most aggressive defender in the team. I guess you can call that over pursuit or something.
 
The sad thing about this game is we went on the road to Clemson, controlled 38 minutes of regulation, and when Clemson tied it up the first time we calmly went to Codi and Devin inside for 6 points to push it back to a lead we should have held.

Instead we give up 2 offensive rebounds on one key possession, Hudson misses a game-clinching 3 pointer, and Rountree doesn't play through to the buzzer and gives away the game.

Just not getting enough good play from the Leonard/Dinos/McClinton group to stretch and maintain leads.

Eh. We had two inbounds stole at the end of the first half. I can understand not wanting to risk that again. Of course, the problem there is Codi and he happened again.

Codi has been our starting PG since day one. (Maybe day two. Apologies in advance, sunshine brigade.)
