OFFICIAL 2016 Foreign Elections Thread

Wikileaks/Russia was involved in hacking. It would be great if the EU would double the sanctions on Russia for doing so. We should but Trump is too busy blowing Putin to do it.

So Macron seems to be doing well.

A DEMOCRATIC revolution is under way in France. After the first round of the legislative elections on June 11th, President Emmanuel Macron’s party, La République en Marche! (LRM), looks set to win a landslide majority when voters return for a run-off vote next Sunday. As we predicted this week, his party is forecast to secure 390-430 seats out of 577 in the National Assembly, according to estimates of the early results by Ipsos, a pollster. This is an astonishing result for a party that Mr Macron founded only 14 months ago.

How cool would it be for us to hack the Russian election and make Gary Kasparov the new leader...or Boris Badenov.

Putin will crush the independence movement in Baskortostan.

by hacking the vote for independence?

No, his vote hacking and cyber warfare will be the cause of the Occitania independence movement. Novorossiya will be straight up invasion, and he will crush any stirrings of independence within mother Russia it's self. All of this will of course be after Trump accidentally starts a nuclear war with NK.

hardly surprising:

wonder if Putin had anything to do with this?
Not really, Austria has been sliding to the right for about 20 years. It's a bit of a bastard country (1 German speaking province remaining attached to a multicultural capital from a previous empire) and the split between Vienna 25% of the entire population) and the rest of the country has simply continued to widen.

Vad - how far right is this guy? I've seen a few different takes ranging from center/right to borderline fascist.

Which one? Kurz is old money conservative, definitely right wing but within the standard spectrum for Europe.

The problem is he will likely form a coalition with the FPÖ, and their leader Heinz-Christian Strache is a Nazi. Not borderline, but a guy who spent years in organizations like the Wiking-Jugend. He's a real life Nazi, not one of the stupid tiki torch carrying fake ass American ones.
